A facial is a wonderful deep cleanse

A facial is a wonderful deep cleanse for your skin which will leave your skin rejuvenated and glowing : an indulgent, relaxing and blissful way to escape from the world.

Before a cleansing facial you should prepare a quiet place where you won't be disturbed, one where you can close the curtains, light some candles, play some relaxing music and just chill.......

A facial should go like this:

  • Cleanse your skin and eyes, making sure you have removed all traces of make-up.
  • Take some toner and just make sure you remove all traces of cleanser.
  • Exfoliate. Not too much : we don't want to see bone.
  • Remove the exfoliation using warm water and then gently wipe your skin with toner.
  • Before your mask is applied you might at this stage want to spread onto your skin, a thin layer of essential oil suitable to your skin, mixed with a carrier oil.
  • It's time for a mask, which should be left on for at least 15 minutes although 30 is ideal.
  • Wash your skin with warm water and then gently wipe your skin with toner.
  • Moisturise your skin to finish.
  • DON'T BE ONE OF THE MANY PEOPLE WHO NEVER TAKE THE TIME TO DISCOVER HOW TO DEAL WITH THEIR PROBLEM SKIN, WHICH CAN BE IMPROVED BY 100% !!

Sometimes the secret to problem skin is so easy to solve, women kick themselves when they discover how easy it is to have perfect skin. Your skin is your largest organ and is vital to your body because it stops your insides falling out (Yuk!) but also gives you self confidence if it's in good condition.

Skin has a barrier which protects the body and face as long as the ph is not undisturbed. This barrier has an ideal ph of between 4.5 and 5.5.

Most have no idea of the damage they are doing when they wash their face/body using harsh shop-bought soap. You literally wash away the protective barrier leaving the skin exposed to bacteria which can cause blemishes and dehydration which can cause fine lines, looking like wrinkles, not to mention redness caused by sensitivity to such products.

The very best product to wash in unless you are covered in make-up is WARM WATER finish by toning with witchazel for oily skin and rosewater for all other skintypes.

Glycerine soap is a gentle soap, using essential oils or scents to suit your skintype.

    what skin type are you?

Oily Skin If your skin is oily you could have enlarged pores, which sometimes get blocked causing blemishes, blackhead and even acne.

Dry skin can often feel very tight and uncomfortable after washing and even be flaky, and red.

Normal Skin feels comfortable after washing, has only the occasional blemish and no redness.

Sensitive Skin is reactive to make-up and cosmetics. The skin can be red, blotchy or have a rash.

Mature Skin The secret of maintaining a smooth, healthy complexion : as your skin matures the key to healthy skin is a routine which suits your lifestyle.

Facial Skin Toner A facial skin toner removes every last trace of cleanser and prevents pores from blocking and causing blemishes.

Cooling Eye Masks are heaven for tired eyes.

Facial Steam Recipes are an excellent way to get rid of blackheads.

Skin Detox The last thing you want to happen when you are going on holiday is for your skin to look dull and lifeless.

Exfoliation happens naturally all the time. Dead cells flake off our bodies daily leaving room for new fresh cells underneath.

Natural Sugar Scrub They can be used as a wonderful massage exfoliate or facial exfoliate depending on what oil you mix the sugar with.

Massage Oil Techniques Massage is one of the oldest holistic healing powers in existence.
